Kenya Trip 2019!

We are gearing up for the second CAK Kenya mission trip this summer! Our dates are June 14 through July 1. This year, we have 4 CAK high school students and 2 CAK grads! Also joining the team are Josh Campbell, a oral/facial surgeon from UT and his daughter Ava (good friends with Rees Many!), as well as Dean Douglass, a physical therapist at Provision Therapy and his family: Lesli, Walker, and Mamie.
The student team is made up of: Brooke Forester, McKinley Blackburn, Zander Tonkin, Truman Douglass, Kate Zavracky, and Caroline Henderson.

The team will travel to Bomet, Kenya to learn, oberserve, and serve at Tenwek Hospital. You can find out more about the hospital at their website.

We will also visit Nasaruni Aademy, a school for Maasai girls. The CAK 6th graders did their service project to benefit Nasaruni through H2O For Life. They planned two chapels, learned about the global water crisis, did projects, videos, and posters, then hosted a "water walk" for our elementary in order to raise funds for clean water projects at Nasaruni. We are happy to say that we met and even exceeded our goal. The Kenya team will visit this school and bring CAK's greetings and gifts. We may even get to help dedicate some shiny new VIP toilets! (Ventilated Improved Pit toilet)

Our hosts are the Many family, a CAK family for years before they followed the call of the Lord to go to Kenya. You can find out more about their story here

Keep our team in your prayers, and check back during the trip for updates and pictures!

in Christ,
