Good evening! This morning Melissa and I got up early and went on rounds with Dr. Paul while everyone else slept in a bit more then we all met up at church. It was incredible to get to worship in Swahili with the community! The pastor preached about continuing to spiritually grow and to not walk alone. He challenged everyone to find three people to lean on in your walk with Christ. I'm excited to take what I learned and apply it to my life at home!
After church, we went down to the Tenwek River and Molly and I got baptized! It was such a special moment to be apart of and I am so glad we did it!
Then we came back, had some lunch, and headed down to the field to play with the missionary kids. We had decided a day or two before to do a Parents Night Out of sorts where we watch the MK's and give the parents a nice afternoon to relax. We found out this afternoon was the best time so we prepared some games and brought some toys. Turns out a bunch of local kids were already there playing soccer so they joined in on the fun and we had a blast!
best part of my day!
Then we came back for a delicious dinner and had a meeting at the Many's house. There we met the woman in charge of Tabitha Ministries and she told us the super cool history of the organization while we all sat around a toasty fire with some coffee, tea, and desserts.
We had a debrief talk about this weekend and talked with the Many's for a bit then headed back to the guesthouse to play a mean game of Egyptian Ratscrew and Euchre. Now we are all heading to bed so good night!

What a special treat to give the parents. I'm sure the history of Tabitha Ministries is interesting. I would love to hear all about it. :)
